Google Revolutionizing Cities
Alphabet Inc(Google), Sidewalk Labs, and Ontario and Canadian Governments are building a Smart City at the Industrial part of Quayside, which runs along Toronto’s waterfront. The Smart City will be built from the internet up, controlled by a thermal grid that recycles energy, designed to be eco friendly with things like garbage disposals that can sort out waste that can be recycled, and giving its residents more green areas to relax at. The city’s data will be able to control traffic flow, and create a safer, more enjoyable place to live. The project is projected to break ground by 2020.
Striving To Make The World A Better Place
Innovators have long had obsessions with "making the world a better place" with the Smart City project. The reason why they are building this is to create a more eco friendly city instead of the construction site that has been there for so long, also to see if a technologically ran city will be more beneficial in keeping the city running smoothly, such as preventing traffic jams during rush hour and allowing residents to take surveys on if a party is disrupting the neighborhood.
